Success at the Smithfield Awards...

We are pleased to announce our success at the Q GUILD BUTCHERS 2011 SMITHFIELD AWARDS

The awards were presented by TV Chef, Ainsley Harriott at Butchers' Hal, London on 8 November 2011.

Patrick Richards collected a "DIAMOND" award for his home-made CORNED BEEF (overall winner of the cooked meat section) and the Corned Beef went on to win the EBLEX AWARD for the BEST ENGLISH BEEF PRODUCT.

"Gold" awards were also received for our Royal Wedding Sausage, Pork Sausage with Tomato and Welsh Cheddar, Borewors Sausage, Home-made Pastrami and Pate de Tete(posh Brawn).

Welcome to the all new website for Albrighton's traditional family butcher, P Richards.

Patrick Richards has work at 64 High Street in the lovely village of Albrighton for 42 years, taking over the shop when the previous owner retired 8 years ago. At that time Patrick was joined by his wife, Gaynor, who takes an active role in running this family business.

The last few years have seen the development of our buffet service and we can now prepare anything from a plate of assorted sandwiches to a full blown traditional party buffet of your choice with our dressed Salmon proving particularly popular.
